What I wear on the golf course has a huge effect on how I feel, how I perform and how I carry myself, but fashion also plays a huge part in my life off the golf course. I tend to stick by the same rules for both – tonal outfits, comfort, and adding my touch with accessories.
For those of you that follow my socials, you’ll know I’m partial to a bucket hat! For me, the right headwear can be such a cool statement piece to add to an outfit and really helps to elevate a look. Recently I’ve been dabbling in the flat cap look. It’s obviously on-trend at the moment with the new series of Peaky Blinders, along with the horse racing season kicking off at Cheltenham last week. If I’m out walking, you’ll likely find me in a flat cap and jacket to give a real countryside look to an outfit. I’m also a big fan of a beanie! When I’m lazing around on a Sunday and comfort is paramount, adding a beanie to an outfit adds a whole level of cosiness.
Talking of comfort, my favourite fits at the moment definitely revolve around a nice hoodie/jogger combo! Through lockdown, everybody rediscovered the importance of comfort in what they wear. People ditched the work shirts in favour of loungewear and have started to take that look to the streets. A nice tonal adidas tracksuit in a jersey material, paired with my all-time favourite sneaker – Yeezy’s – is just a staple when I’m away from the course!
I’m a huge sneakerhead at heart and picking a pair of trainers to compliment an outfit is such a crucial decision. My go-to trainers are Yeezy’s. They’re comfortable for starters! There isn’t an outfit out there that isn’t made better with a pair of Yeezy’s, even on smart occasions. Alongside the hype trainers in my wardrobe, I have a few staples that I find myself going to. The adidas Stan Smith is such an icon and can really be worn for any occasion, even a suit! I love the comfort and sporty style of the adidas Ultraboost and they’re my favourite gym trainer. And really, a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes!
