RETAIL STORE MANAGER

Situated within Pitch Indoor Golf Canary Wharf

We are the premier specialist Golf clothing provider based in the UK and USA
offering selected top end brands to the serious golfer. For the last 20 years
TRENDYGOLF has grown a substantial customer base across Europe, The US and
further afield through delivering a fantastic branded product offer and
delivering the best customer experience and customer service.
We are launching a new flagship retail store in a prestigious location located
within the Pitch venue in Canary Wharf to serve both Pitch and TRENDYGOLF
clients. A pivotal role for this venture is the Store Manager who will represent
both TRENDYGOLF and Pitch to a discerning customer base.

In your role as a Store Manager, you act as an inspirational role model in leading and
coaching your team members in the KPI achievement with a tireless drive to deliver
excellent customer service.
• Accountable for driving the team to achieve the location's performance
targets and KPIs and define action plans for short and long term target
achievements
• Coaching, developing and appraising of the team
• Effective recruiting and succession planning as well as networking
• Implement and maintain a customer centric mindset to build a loyal
customer base
• Drive the use of all available tools and ensure procedures are executed and
policies followed
• Build and maintain awareness of our competitors and local markets by
sharing any relevant findings with the broader TRENDYGOLF and Pitch
team

A representative list of duties for the Store Manager include:
• Building rapport and long-term relationships with clientele base
• Guiding clients on product selection and customisation options
• Fitting and sizing of clothing and footwear
• Creating the right ambiance in the showroom
• Answer telephone enquiries in a professional manner and at the
standard which is expected by the calibre of clients.
• Answering emails in a professional manner and at the standard which is
expected by the calibre of clients.
• Organising logistical transfer of stock between warehouse and
showroom, and our stockists/partners
• Ordering supplies relating to the showroom (e.g. coffee, lights)
• Helping with product development and design
• Managing store assistant and to lead by example

Requirements:
• 2-4+ year’s experience in the golf fashion industry
• Reliable and possess an individual sense of discipline
• Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred (but not necessary) attributes :
• Interest and knowledge of golf and the golf market
• Experience in dealing with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI)
• Individual Fashion Sense (in any individual style) and presentable
• Social media experience
• Approachable and charismatic
• Sales-orientated
• People management experience
The store comprises of approx.. 2,000 sqft of space, which includes Branded
presentations, promotional space, digital assets and client seating. The
successful candidates will also need to build strong relationships with the Pitch
team and gain knowledge of the client base.


Working Hours:
The store will be open 7 days a week with the opening times being shared
amongst the store manager and store assistant (to also be hired). The
successful candidate will be expected work on, at least, one weekend
day (Saturday or Sunday) with exceptions by request. Flexibility is afforded by
way of a rota, which is self-determined by store staff.

Competitive salary and company benefits

Hiring Timeline and Interview Process:

The successful candidate can start during September 2024, the store is due to
open during October 2024. There will be a series of short interviews, as well as
a "test-drive day" for which the candidate will be compensated the regular
hourly rate. These are opportunities for us to get to know the candidate, as well
as for the candidate to get to know the company. In particular, the candidate
can meet the team, experience the daily duties, view the location, and more.

TRENDYGOLF started in January 2004 when two self-confessed golf connoisseurs (Ian and Ben) noticed a new style hitting the fairways on the PGA and European Tour. After a long time searching the internet they finally identified the brand as J.Lindeberg, at the time being famously worn by Swedish golfer and style icon Jesper Parnevik, it then raised the question of “Where can we buy this from?”

After great difficulty and no luck trying to buy the clothing, Ian and Ben decided to create what we now know as TRENDYGOLF, the concept of which was to be a one-stop-shop for all the most fashionable clothing seen on professional golfers worldwide.

Since 2004 the company has spread worldwide and now boasts offices both in the UK and USA. But the mantra remains the same, provide the latest fashion and the products that the top players are modelling.

TRENDYGOLF is not just aimed at the fashionable golfer; it is an institution that wants to bring the latest designs from the trendiest designers around the world to the forefront of fashion, both on and off course.
